The meeting was hosted by Shenyang Municipal Government, Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau, Shenyang Hunnan District Government, He Eye Specialist Hospital . The organizing committee invited more than 100 Chinese and foreign genomics, ophthalmologists, including Nobel Prize winner and Australian scientist Professor Barry Marshall, academician Yang Huanming of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, academician Ding Jian of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and so on. The first ICG EYE was successfully held in Shenyang in June 2018. At the meeting, the "China Eye Genome Project" was successfully launched, which was initiated by the Eye Gene Bank of the National Gene Bank, BGI, and He Eye Group, and followed the principle of "sharing." The clinical and scientific research institutions of ophthalmology inside and outside the United Nations jointly carry out public welfare research and clinical trials.

This year, ICG EYE 2nd will continue to take the mission of promoting the development of precision medicine and realizing the strategy of healthy China, with the theme of "Gene Technology illuminates Shenyang Navigation of Health Precision Medicine". The purpose of the conference is to promote the cross-border integration of genomics and ophthalmology, stem cell therapy, biomedicine, big data and other fields, and to promote the development of the precision medical industry.
