Shuzhi Technology Brightens Life, An International Academic Event not to be Missed
The 7th Asia-pacific Tele-Ophthalmology Society Symposium (7th APTOS Symposium) will be held both online and offline on September 3rd-4th, 2022 in Shenyang, China. Experts and scholars from all over the world will gather on the cloud to discuss ophthalmic intelligence technology, contributing their wisdom and strength to ophthalmic development in the Asia-Pacific region.
The theme of this annual conference is "Shuzhi Technology Brightens Life". It is organized by APTOS and undertaken by He Eye Specialist Hospital (HESH). Participants will deeply exchange and discuss hot topics of the frontier science and technology such as digital health, telemedicine and artificial intelligence. The event keeps up with the times and looks forward to the future.
In recent years, China has promoted digital health and smart medical care as the digital economy develops rapidly, providing accessible and fast medical care to the people. Medical care institutions, including HESH, have launched online medical service.
Integrating medicine, education, and research, HESH is a medical care corporation committed to the whole life cycle of eye health management based on the three-level model of medical care service. It targets global frontier science and technology and promotes technological innovation and progress in ophthalmology driven by innovation.
In the past few years, HESH developed a smart diagnostic system supported by big data and AI equipment. It established a precision medical mode led by gene and stem cell technologies. Thus, smart medical care can benefit the people.
Since its establishment in 1995, HESH has fully utilized its ophthalmology expertise, international exchange resources and cooperation with strategic shareholders to forge a whole life cycle eco-system of eye health. In addition, HESH proactively pushes the prevention and treatment of blindness in China to go global and become a major player in scientific and technological innovation in ophthalmology.
The conference of APTOS is held annually. Since 2016, six conferences have been held successfully. It aims to provide universal, equitable and efficient medical care for the eye in the region. With efficient support, APTOS carries out ophthalmic studies and cultivate talents and ultimately accelerates the development of ophthalmology.
China has hosted the event two times, in Beijing and Hong Kong, respectively. In 2022, APTOS will be held in China for the third time. HESH has become the organizer of this conference with its scientific and technological innovation strength in international eye health and its influence on blindness prevention across the world.
HESH and APTOS share the same mission and vision. By jointly holding the 7th Asia-pacific Tele-Ophthalmology Society Symposium, HESH and APTOS will provide a platform for participants to exchange academically. Thus, the event will promote the ophthalmologic development in the Asia-Pacific region and brighten our future with science and technology.
APTOS was founded by a group of excellent ophthalmologists in the Asia-Pacific region in 2016. Its objective is to bring together clinicians, researchers, technologists, research institutions, and organizations to promote distance ophthalmology learning, communication and collaboration to lead the progress of telemedicine in the Asia-pacific region. Since its establishment in 2016, APTOS has successfully held six annual meetings, more than ten webinars, and artificial intelligence workshops, attracting the attention from the ophthalmology sector and the industry. Over 10,000 teams participated in the second ophthalmology Big Data Competition in 2021, contributing to the development of big data.
